Dr. Donald P. Lewis, Jr., DDS is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and maintains private practice in Cleveland, Ohio. He provides specialty oral and maxillofacial surgical care to patients in Mentor, Highland Heights, Bainbridge Township, and surrounding Northeast Ohio communities.

Education & Residency
Dr. Lewis was born and raised in South Euclid, Ohio, and graduated from Charles F. Brush High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Valparaiso University in 1972.
In 1976, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. He then completed his post-graduate residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University Hospitals of Cleveland from 1977 to 1980. This hospital-based training provided comprehensive experience in surgical procedures involving the mouth, jaw, and facial structures.
Academic & Professional Leadership
Dr. Lewis serves as a Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, contributing to the education and training of future dental professionals and specialists.
He is the Chairman and originator of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Committee on Software Development and Computer Technology, reflecting early leadership in the integration of technology within the specialty.
In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Lewis earned the designation of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Board of Regents of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is a nationally recognized speaker on the topic of white-collar crime and has presented seminars to healthcare professionals, accountants, and legal professionals across the United States and Canada.
Dr. Lewis has also served as a guest lecturer at Kent State University, Bowling Green University, and Lakeland Community College in the areas of criminology, sociology, and business ethics. He has delivered numerous presentations on oral and maxillofacial surgery and contributed articles to the surgical literature.
